How are you connecting the computer to the L1?  Are you running an audio cable from an audio device into an input on the L1 or are you using the L1 as a USB audio device?

If you are using the L1 as a USB audio device you can set the internal audio of your computer to be the default audio device in Windows and set the cue channel in Ots AV to use the computer's sound device.  Plugging your headphones into the computer's audio device will give you the ability to cue (pre-fade listen) using the mixer controls in OtsAV.  If you want to preview a song without placing it into a deck in OtsAV you can double click the item in the Media Library or playlist and choose to open it in Ots Studio - with the Windows default sound set to the computer's audio device, the audio from Ots Studio will play through your headphones rather than the L1.

If you don't have a spare audio output on the computer (i.e. it is connected to the L1), you can use the setting in OtsAV to have the right channel as cue.  Connect only the left channel (now mono) signal to the L1 and the right channel to your headphones.  This will require the correct cables or a headphone amplifier.

Have fun,
Darryl.

I use a t1. This is exactly how I do it. Just use my headphone jack on my laptop as my cue sound card. While I could load the song in a deck and hit "cue", I find it easier to double click on the song and use the ots player
